Expert Polyurea Applicators for Mining

Description

Agitator hub and shaft coated by BSC expert polyurea applicators - WA Australia

Polyurea has been used by BCS to protect and repair literally thousands of items and structures on mine sites, chemical processing plants and other industries.

Most mine maintenance superintendents are in a constant battle with the harsh elements, abrasive ores, saline process water and corrosive chemicals that constantly erode, rust, degrade and attack on-site metal and concrete.

A good coat of paint is often not good enough, although we also blast and paint with the full range of industrial paints.

Wherever a tough, seamless, long-lasting coating is needed, there is usually a polyurea formulation to suit.  If the coating also needs to go on quickly and cure fast, then polyurea, applied by expert polyurea applicators is ideal.

The Challenges

Iron Ore Bin
  • Abrasion, impacts, corrosion, chemicals, and the harsh environment attack plant and equipment all around the site.
  • Many coatings don't last the distance and need regular maintenance.
  • Tradional paints take a long time to apply and cure - and can then fail prematurely
  • Projects on mine sites require a high level of compliance with safety.
  • Shutdown periods are short and the most maintenance possible needs to be completed during those times
  • There is a wide variety of steel and concrete structures and items that require protection or lining.

Miscellaneous

ProductsBSC's expert polyurea applicators have been spraying fast-set Nukote polyurea on shutdowns, and on maintenance, and on large mine site projects for nearly 20 years.

We are the most experienced polyurea applicators in mining.

We have protected a huge range of items including CIL tanks, SAG and Ball Mills, thickeners, float cells, hoppers, under-pans, chutes, agitators, pipes, structural steel, water tanks, plinths, silos, screens, and trommels.

Nukote polyurea combines very good chemical and abrasion resistance with flexibility and low moisture vapour permeability.  For high chemical exposure, particularly strong acids, we recommend Nukote XT Plus. For high abrasion resistance, choose Nukote HAR.

Nukote polyurea is touch dry within seconds at all temperatures and can be returned to full service within 24 hours.
